MKPLUS is pleased to announce that, on November 30, 2025, it completed the acquisition of Enerpoly, a Swedish battery company equipped with manufacturing facilities suitable for the production of MKPLUS’s proprietary vanadium solid-state batteries.
The acquisition covers all business assets held by Enerpoly, including its manufacturing equipment and patents. The total value of the acquired assets is estimated at approximately JPY 10 billion. MKPLUS has also retained 29 former Enerpoly employees. In addition, the company has secured approximately 10 highly skilled manufacturing engineers from neighboring battery companies.

Enerpoly was originally engaged in the development and production of zinc-ion batteries. However, after placing orders for its manufacturing equipment, the company encountered financial difficulties and filed for bankruptcy in June 2025. As Enerpoly’s manufacturing process is highly compatible with MKPLUS’s proprietary battery technology, and because the acquisition was completed under highly favorable terms for several hundred million yen, MKPLUS decided to proceed with the acquisition.
MKPLUS has completed the development of its vanadium solid-state battery and has already begun small-scale mass production at its Sendai laboratory. The company has shipped 10 kWh sample units, which have received positive evaluations from various parties. As demand for mass production and stable supply continues to grow, this acquisition is expected to further accelerate MKPLUS’s commercialization and business expansion.
Many of the new team members joining MKPLUS through this acquisition have extensive experience in the production of conventional lithium-ion batteries. MKPLUS will continue to provide updates on the future potential of this factory.
